My Story

Why I am the one to lead you through this

And think I've always had it figured out

I haven't

I was an overweight child

I grew up in a dysfunctional family where I learned early that love had to be earned

I learned to perform β€” to be good enough, quiet enough, impressive enough β€” just to feel safe

Food became the one place I could go for comfort

It was how I celebrated, how I coped, how I connected, how I made myself feel better when everything inside felt too loud

And because I was overweight, I was bullied

I started believing there was something wrong with me

That I wasn't enough

That if I could just lose the weight maybe I would finally be happy, finally feel worthy, finally be accepted

At 14 I discovered armwrestling

And it completely changed the trajectory of my life

For the first time my body wasn't something I hated β€” it was something I could build, something I could trust

I lost nearly 100 pounds chasing that feeling

What started as a hobby turned into a dream, and that dream turned into becoming an 8-time World Champion

But I was still performing for love

Just on a bigger stage, with brighter lights

I spent seven years chasing the next title, the next win, the next proof that I was finally enough

Underneath the medals I developed eating disorders, self-sabotage, and a quiet pattern of numbing whatever I didn't want to feel

I became incredibly good at winning while quietly losing myself

Eventually I crashed

I gained back nearly 100 pounds

I found myself in toxic, abusive relationships that mirrored everything I had never learned to give myself

I'd look in the mirror and barely recognize the woman staring back
